Electronic Residency Verification
In an effort to continuously improve the Residency Verification process, District 87 has partnered with a vendor to electronically verify the residency of our families. Parents’ names and addresses will be cross-checked against electronic databases, such as utility companies, to determine residency. We anticipate that the majority of our families will be electronically verified through this new system.
If your residency is electronically verified through this new system, you will receive a letter of confirmation and you will not need to attend a Residency Verification event.
If your residency is not electronically verified through this new system, you will receive a letter informing you that you must attend a Residency Verification event and bring the residency documentation outlined on our website.
Residency Verification Dates, Times, and Locations
Saturday, April 13 at MacArthur Middle School from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Wednesday, April 17 at Northlake Middle School from 4 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Illinois law has made it a crime to knowingly present false information regarding the residency of a student. District 87 is committed to ensuring only students who live within the District boundaries are attending a District 87 school. This new system will improve our Residency Verification process, better utilizing District resources, and save families’ time.
