Superintendent's Message

Dear District 87 Community,

It is my privilege to serve as superintendent of schools in District 87. I joined the District 87 family in 2014 and am honored to continue my service to this community. Our District is unique in serving portions of six different villages: Bellwood, Berkeley, Hillside, Melrose Park, Northlake, and Stone Park across six schools: Jefferson Primary, Whittier Primary, Riley Intermediate, Sunnyside Intermediate, MacArthur Middle School, and Northlake Middle School.

We value our diversity, while embracing our common goal of providing the best education to students in grades PreK through 8th. We are one district, that acts as one team, with one mission: help all students achieve!

Our families and community members are valuable members of that team. We know that we are better together as we work to meet the needs of our children. We welcome you all to be active partners in building better schools for a better tomorrow.

As you explore our new and improved website and follow us on social media, please feel free to share your feedback. Communication is key to our progress.

Thank you for trusting District 87 with your children.

Sincerely,
Dr. Terri Bresnahan

One District. One Team. One Mission.
