BUSINESS OFFICE
The fiscal and general business operations of School District #87 are managed by the Business Office. The Department’s primary functions include the preparation of the annual budget and tax levy, financial reporting and auditing, and the daily supervision of the District’s business operation, including payroll, food services, purchasing, public bidding, employee benefits, inventory records, and debt management.
School District 87 has been widely recognized over the years for its financial reporting credibility. The District has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials International for the past 24 years. The award represents a very significant achievement and reflects the District’s commitment to the highest standards of school system financial reporting.
