Summer School will be held at
Jefferson Elementary School
Enjoy Summer Break by learning beyond the walls of the school building.
Visit Museums, Parks, Beaches, etc.
There are so many things to explore and learn about while out for summer break. By the time school resumes in August each student should be able to explain their summer adventure.
Ex. Went on a road trip to Springfield, IL
What did you see going to Springfield?
How far is Springfield, IL from your home?
Did you see any live stock? If so, what type did you see?
What type food do they eat?
What do they supply to humans?
Did you see anything interesting on the ride? (i.e. are there homes, farms, windmills, etc.)
When you arrived to your destination where did you stay?
Where did you go?
Did you walk, ride a bike, ride in a car?
and the list goes on... Make your summer a learning experience and see how that prepares you for the 2013 school year.
