87 Second Update - February, 2024
Posted on 02/24/2024

This is superintendent Dan Sullivan with another 87 Second Update.  Our partnership is essential for the continued success and well-being of our student-scholars.

I want to emphasize the critical importance of reading at home for at least 30 minutes each day. Reading is the cornerstone of academic success and personal growth. When our children read regularly at school and at home, they expand their vocabulary, enhance communication skills, and ignite their imaginations.

Attendance, We need your help to improve student attendance.  Every day in school matters.  Absences have a significant negative impact on academic progress and sense of belonging. When students miss school, they miss out on valuable learning opportunities, classroom discussions, and meaningful interactions with their peers and teachers.

As parents, you play a crucial role in fostering a culture of consistency and commitment to learning. By ensuring that your children attend school regularly and on time, you are sending them a powerful message about the value of education and the importance of responsibility.

As a district we are continuing to work on streamlining and enhancing our two way communication with families.   Communication is especially important for student readiness to learn and for overall school safety.

Let's continue to work together to create an environment where every child feels supported, inspired, empowered and safe to reach their full potential.   Keep reading!
